Prince Harry, Meghan Markle told Queen Elizabeth about daughter’s birth before the public announcement

When it got here to sharing their massive child information, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle gave Queen Elizabeth II the royal remedy.

The couple advised the Queen that their daughter, Lilibet “Lili” Diana Mountbatten-Windsor, was born earlier than they introduced it to the general public on Sunday, People reported.

Lilibet is a longtime nickname of the Queen, who’s Harry’s grandmother.

The infant lady was born on Friday at 7 kilos, 11 ounces. It’s the second youngster for Harry and Meghan, who even have a 2-year-old son, Archie.

“Congratulations to The Duke and Duchess of Sussex on the delivery of Lilibet Diana! The Queen, The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall and The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are delighted with the information,” the Royal Household stated in a press release Sunday.

Harry and Meghan, who’ve been married since 2018, stepped away from their senior royal duties final 12 months and moved from the UK to Southern California.

In an interview that aired in March, Meghan advised Oprah Winfrey she discovered of issues inside the palace over “how darkish” Archie’s pores and skin can be earlier than his delivery in 2019.
