Pan and his workforce developed a course of sewing sheets of plywood collectively to assemble the pavilion, making a three-dimensional type from an in any other case flat floor materials.

“Herman Miller has two very distinctive manufacturers,” he explains. “One is the Eames vary, which is the basic vary with the long-lasting molded plywood furnishings. After which they have the ergonomic vary, which is far more technologically superior.”

“We needed to mix the heat of the plywood with one thing that’s progressive when it comes to geometry,” he provides. “This was to observe in Herman Miller’s footsteps when it comes to materials exploration and experimentation.”

Pan hopes that the pavilion will encourage guests to be taught extra concerning the Herman Miller model.

“As soon as the client will get to know the method and the motivation of why we’re doing it, I feel they’ll be taught far more concerning the model and that is really what we needed to create,” he concludes.
